A. new board and a new manager
Looks like we are going to take too long to sack this manager to get promotion back on the cards. He still has most of what was a Prem squad and yet his side concedes poor goals regularly- worse still the board don't have the guts to do what is needed. We are just buying players for investment value to play money ball and have long forgotten that the purpose of having a team is to win games. Adams is a good guy but not up to getting us promotion let alone managing us if we do. Missing out on Lennon was foolish in the extreme. The board want a patsy not a winner. The team seem to know it. Our lack of ambition is evidenced by the fact that we have no loan signings because we prefer to buy so we can sell at a profit. This is the proof that the board lack ambitions on the field and that lack of ambition at board level is communicated to the manager and players and that is why we don't win the games that our fans expect that we should otherwise win. Profitable trading on players is more important to the board than winning games. Fact. If it wasn't the board would have made some quality loan signings and Adams would be replaced or at least fired.
The harsh fact is as a club we have reached our level, season after season we allude ourselves that "this time" things will be different, but the Paul Lambert era apart we have had very little to cheer about for many years and I for one have not been overly excited about an incoming player since Darren Huckerby. We are in truth an average championship club at best, and to think that we will go and get the calibre of players that are mentioned here with this current board are in cuckoo land. Let's all forget about having a successful prem club and support our team for what they really are.
We definitely need to make changes! Management and player wise, we need to get rid of all the big egos and bring in players that want to play for the club, not the pay cheque!! Desperately need atleast another 2 wingers on top of what we have, not IF we sell Redmond

Desperate for a no nonsense centre back, but I tend to agree that Adams hasn't the total command of the players. I'm also quite sure they don't see a great deal of idea's from Gary Holt either, he was a genuine huff and puff player, played with effort but little else, you can do that these days but you do need at least 2 players to keep it simple and control things at the moment it's getting back to dross !
Phelan should be boss, adams should go back to the radio !! phelan must have learnt something working under ferguson !!
I don't subscribe to the notion that we are a "player trading" club at all - Just think about it for a minute - if you have an asset of a value that you are trading, you want that asset to appear to potential buyers in the best possible light. So follow the logic - if you have players that you want to sell, then you want them to look as good as possible and that is only going to be in a successful winning team. This Team is not successful, consistent or winning - who on earth would want to buy any of this lot?
We surely could have had pulis months ago instaed our dreadful board appoint the easy cheap option, regreting it now are we?????

Not liking warnock has nothing to do with it, if alex neil from hamilton gets the job my 15 uear ols season ticket will go straight back in the post, com eon city for f. sake!!!!!!
Warnock is a sad old man that can't last out, he's not prem standard as qpr, palace and sheff utd have found out, he's a big whinger and not the right fit for this club, there isn't an abundance of managers that would take this position and Alex Neil is an odd choice and relatively unknown south of the border!

Paul lambert was an unproven shot in the dark too, only league one experience but he got us successive promotions! I'm not saying this new lad will do the same but you just never can tell! There just isn't the pool of managerial talent out there at the mo, please for gods sake don't utter the name warnock as a contender
But lambert was a top player whom people respected, is neal??? i don't think so, i hope to be proved wrong but our board are to blame for most of our failiures. i still would have picked warnock if it were up to me as he's done it over and over again, time will tell i supose
Alan shearer was a top player, well respected but was rubbish as a manager, I think norwich are trying to be a little like Bournemouth in getting a young hungry manager, it may not work out at all, if you can think back a little warnock was just slagging us and our players off when he was qpr boss, that aside tho, the man is a scrote, so it's a big fat NO from me to sign up warnock
Warnock was outspoken, i like people who speak thier mind, just because he slagged us does not make him wrong. i would have gone for him as he knows what he's talking about. i hope neal does turn out well, if not where do we go from there??? get rid of the board ??

I don't care where new players come from as long as they put the effort in that's been lacking in recent weeks! Of course we all want to sign messi but let's look at realistic targets! The mans hardly stepped foot in the door, I for one am slightly bemused by this appointment but am going to wait a few games and let the change take shape before casting doubt on his ability to sign players!

I don't think we would be signing all the accies players!! We have a good squad, they're just inconsistent and maybe a couple of new faces might help but let the man work first before casting doubt, if it all falls flat then you can sleep well knowing you were right but for now it's a new start and we can but hope that it's the right move from the board, a hungry manager wanting to prove himself can't be all bad !!
