What's happened to all the posters Ed? I've been away for over a month and not a lot has been added since {Ed001's Note - no one has anything to moan about at the moment.}

Plus I am not quick enough anymore to check posts, I am sure the posts will increase when things go wrong again! {Ed015's Note - Should also add there may be an increase if promoted. OTBC.}

I thought that would be your reply ed, but I for one would like to sing the praises of AN & the lads, the transformation since he has come to the club is nothing short of remarkable, so if nothing else I might get some response to this post, Good or bad I don't mind OTBC

Dean Kiely's seem to be doing a great job with our keepers! Don't think I've seen Ruddy make so many mistakes

Another "must win" game Sunday v Ipsh**. i'd suggest its one none of us dare lose so a score draw perhaps? i'm slightly happier now we have a little more creativity in midfield, but we still need to defend a little higher. we still panic a little in midfield, Redmonds looking tired, as well. apart from that alls good! i'm optimistic of a playoff place, maybe. just maybe we can sneak in second? last season people were saying they'd swap the prem for some wins in the championship. do those same people want to stay in the championship?
C'mon you lot, use it or lose it, chat/moan/discuss whatever is on your mind!!!! sighs (nuff said)

Its all in our hands now with the teams we have left to play, we have the best run in out of all the teams !!

15 Feb 2015 11:53:57
a little bit worried about what Anya will do to Whittaker next Saturday ?? other wise I think we can get the 3 points

Whittaker played a blinder

He always plays with his blindfold on xx

13 Feb 2015 12:09:22
No mention of Lambert getting sacked!!

09 Feb 2015 17:05:38
ok so i have the proverbial egg over my face re Hooper and scoring. great hat trick!! i'm now going to say the rest of the team are useless as well, think it will "gee" them up? just think if redmond had gone like a lot of you WANTED, he wouldn't have scored that goal, so well done my son lol! away to charlton next, tricky as they seem to have become draw experts, we will need to be patient and i'm hoping wes will play to give us some creativity. onwards and upwards! oh, final 6 position!!!
1. Derby
2. Middlesboro
3. Norwich
4. wolves
5. ips arghhh
6. a shock team. possibly Forest or Huddersfield.
how close will i be? what's your final 6?
sighs (nuff said)

You think Bournemouth will miss out on top 6???

1. Bournemouth
2. Middlesbrough
3. Derby
4. Norwich
5. Watford
6. Wolves or Ipswich

Sorry. yes i feel Bournemouth will miss out, perhaps they can just get in the top 6, replacing forest or huddersfield. remember there's always a shock latecomer tho! sighs (nuff said)

That's a terrible prediction

well, imo a totally uninspiring transfer window as usual. so much for the 12-15m supposed to have been available as promised in october! its a bad risk not letting Olssson leave, his heart isn't with ncfc tbh. i'm not too sure about Noone he's average at best, and as for Andreau and Dorrans. hmmmm nuff said! but that's what you get when a manager isn't allowed to pick his own players!!! thinking of managers, i'm uninspired atm with Alex Neil, but perhaps i expect too much?? i'd have liked to have seen a playmaker come in, and also a utility defender, we still let in sloppy goals and give the ball away too easily. anyway, Blackpool saturday, already a must win game if we want to be serious about the play off places. i'm not at all confident anymore, i was told to "believe" at the beginning of the season but i'm struggling to now. sorry!!! (nuff said)

Andreu is the top scorer in the SPL so there is every chance he could be the creative player we are looking for. Dorrans is coming in on loan which looks to be a fantastic signing for the Championship! Stop being so negative and give the new guys a chance

Where is this 12-15m coming from? We where relegated and McNally has said plenty of times we have to sell to bring in

The spl is our 1st division at best, even celtic (sorry) are no longer the force they were 2 years ago. wasnt hooper from there? and he wanted an ENGLAND place? HAHAHAHA he can't score here in the championship!!!!! in OCTOBER the bored oops board said there would be money available, around 12-15m. i'm repeating their words is all. and sir, i do WANT to be positive, i just find the lacadasical way we play frustrating is all. i hate defending deep and inviting teams to attack us. and yes i know at times its necessary! good news is we kept young redmond and murphy as well. hows that for positive??? sighs. (nuff said)

Really looking forward to watching Andreu. seen him play at Hamilton. good feet, movement brilliant. great move i think. hope he rises to the championship challenge. another hucks I reckon.
Wellsboy.

12-15 million? in January? In the championship? Think you've got us confused with a top prem club

30 Jan 2015 13:07:44
looks like city have gone to sleep in this window all is very very quiet

Yeah getting worried now, can't even see us getting into the play offs with how we are playing at the moment. 2 or 3 new players may help that ??

This happens every window! I do try to stay positive, but there has been too many lows the last 2 years and I'm beginning to lose interest

I think a lot of fans are

25 Jan 2015 11:08:05
how bad was yesterday ?? it just proves how bad Cardiff were last week and Bournemouth were the week before, and can't see us getting anything against Birmingham next week, yesterday was as bad as I have seen city play !!!!

Was at carrow road on Sat, Could not believe how poor the team was, I had high hopes that the new manager would bring more composed football, yet all i witnessed was aimless longball punts, a team that really bypassed midfield totally. Bradley Johnson cut a frustrated figure trying to be a midfield all on his own. I really thought he was going to get sent off as he seemed to be fighting a losing battle covering Whittaker, who looked as though he had forgotten how to play football all together, no touch, no vision, no accuracy of pass. So bad, a responsible for the first goal conceded when he lost the ball on the edge of their 18 yrd box. Fans deserve better for their money than watching football out of the 1970's. Well done to Brentford, thought they played good football and ran rings round us, Pritchard in particular made us look stupid. Perhaps Hoolahan would offer a bit of class in midfield but we need to seriously look at getting a loanee with some classin or it'll be mid-table and a lot more frustrating afternoons under Alex Niell.

rennrad1

Although that definitely was a bad performance, it's worth remembering that 3 of our main midfielders were out, including our 2 best passers of the ball in the centre (excluding Hoolahan), and Whittaker is clearly not a central midfielder - he's not a good player, but he really shouldn't be playing there.

20 Jan 2015 21:10:55
Did Mike Phelan walk because he was overlooked for the managers job ? or doesn't he fancy the methods Alex Neil is bringing in? Shame, I'd rather have kept Phelan than Gary Holt, maybe I'm being cruel because Holt was a huff and puff player and Phelan had a bit of class about him.

17 Jan 2015 13:07:26
don't know if anyone knows this but city have played every one of the top 8 teams in the league away from home apart from Watford !!! should help towards the end of the season, come on the yellows

07 Jan 2015 18:41:48
So, Alex Neil seems to be coming in as manager. Good deal, for me - looks an ambitious young manager with lots of talent.

07 jan 2015 18:38:39
alex neil ???? champions league here we come !!!! but really how many times are we going to get people in who have done nothing ?? more chance of going down than up

He's got a team on very modest resources to promotion and then third place, beating Celtic away and Aberdeen 3-0. That's not nothing

In a pub league, if they can beat celtic and Aberdeen how come they aren't top ???

Better than going through managers that just go from one job to another and achieving nothing. Also at least he has been a manager.

This has got to be a joke, get behind the new manager. He has done very well where he is and deserves a chance. I bet your'e one of the persons dreaming of Tim Sherwood

06 Jan 2015 14:48:10
Well it was no shock to see Adams go was it? ididn't want him in the 1st place but oh no, i know nothing! i said he was the cheap option and so will Phelan be if appointed. This next manager we must get right. Also give him the 12-15 miliions available for a transfer budget so he can immediately get in players loyal to him, as apart from a few most players atm are not putting in a shift. Just throwing it out there, but how about trying to tempt Sir Alex back with Phelan as his no2 to take over in say 18 months? Fantasy island stuff or???? anyway the PNE debacle was the worst game I've seem us play for a looong time, no energy, spirit, or willingness to do anything, that lot should be fined their match day wages. We STILL need a couple of DECENT defenders, a playmaker that's in the game, and omg for Ruddy to be dropped till he realizes he's supposed to be a good goalkeeper!! his form is RUBBISH but with them 4 in front it wouldn't inspire anyone would it? *sighs* nuffs said!!!

05 Jan 2015 15:40:43
Will Bassong play for Mike Phelan?
Will Mike buy Gabi Fernandez?
IceCanary

Bassong back will be a good start

04 Jan 2015 09:05:05
The Bassong debacle is starting to p**s me off. We are in dire need of a quality CB and for me the best CB in the league right now is one of ours playing for a promotion rival. Time for Adams to really show his worth and make amends with Seb.

06 Dec 2014 07:50:06
adams last stand today !!! I would like a manager who has been there and done it, what do you all think ????

Agree.

What a win, 1-0 against a cracking wigan side!! we managed to keep shaun maloney and callum mcmanaman at bay. steven whittaker seems to get better every game he plays! player of the season in my book!!

30 Nov 2014 13:09:58
wanted a. s. a. p. new board new. manager. and a new team.

Adams has got to go, and we need a manager who has been in and around the championship and knows what it takes to play in that division

30 Nov 2014 11:36:08
oh i see, now we are doing bad the so called experts come outta the woodwork! lay off redmond he's worth more then 10 millions, with the right coach he would be even better. also nice to see hooper score another goal today from a REDMOND cross! i say stick with adams another 4 or 5 games to see if phelan and him can work together, if not out he goes. its also funny how SOME of you were content to stay in the championship and win a few games, but have now decided the premiership is where its at. make your ruddy minds up please!! thinking of ruddy, PLEASE drop him, and give young rudd a chance, i believe he will not let us down, and he doesn't flap at crosses like ruddy does, or let in soft goals from 30+yards. sorry, its the truth AGAIN! i see fer is doing well at qpr, i hated letting him go, he seems to be running the qpr team and is a big influence there. despite poor performances, nice to see we still had 26k at carrow road. (nuff said)

28 Nov 2014 18:29:08
keane has left the villa !! will he be citys number 2 when phelan takes over when adams goes ????? I hope not myself !!

Right now anyone is going to be better than what we have, back in the premier league this year, i don't think so. We need to do somethikng now, before its way to late. AGAIN.

There's no way Adams should of ever been given the job full time let alone still be in it, the guy is so far out his depth. i think the fans booing at the end of the game was more directed at the board than the players. Apart from Lambert, witch was a fluke, there track record on a opointments of mangers is. We lack direction on and of the field.

from a neutrals point of view i suppose sats game was exciting, but from a supporters view it was truly awful. as usual too many players were played out of their own "natural" position for starters, then as I've previously stated ruddy and the 4 nincompoops in front of him need reminding they are SUPPOSED to be PROFESSIONAL footballers!! i'm hoping mike phelan can quickly get to grips with things and back up neil to shake things up. i'm trying to stay positive but performances like that depresses me. has anyone noticed all our ex players seem to be thriving with a new team btw? grrrrr (nuff said)

22 Nov 2014 20:14:51
Everyone just give the boys a chance all the booing didn't help the players we played ok but still needs lots of adjustments hope phelan can do some good with the defence

Why so many mistakes ???

21 Nov 2014 09:40:18
Long time no chat people! So here i go. Its nice to see Mike Phelan back at Carrow Road as assistant manager. Its obvious he is there ready for when Neil loses another few games, but i'm going to say this. i don't want Neil as manager, i didn't want him, i never will, BUT i do believe he needs more time. We cannot chop and change managers at a whim, stability is needed, so i really hope that Mike and Neil get on well and manage to reinstall confidence in the team. Mike brings good contacts, a winning mentality, also fresh ideas, exactly what's needed. I keep hearing we will have around 12 to 15 Millions available in Jan for a transfer budget, i STILL suggest we get two full backs, a playmaker, and get rid of 2 or 3 others that just can't hack it. Now, what's with all the criticism of young Redmond? Sure, he's guilty of sometimes wasting crosses, but again i say its up to the strikers to get in the box to get on the end of them! bloody simple!!!!!!!!!!!! He plays extremely well for England, is always setting up goals, and he does the same for us! So lay off him!!!!!!!! start criticizing John Ruddy, he is badly out of form, he needs to be dropped to "sharpen" him up again. Sorry John, its the truth. Same goes for the 4 so called defenders in front of him, falling back and giving opponents the chance to run at them isn't MY idea of defending. Anyway, two vital games ahead of us, i EXPECT to win the next 3 out of four games, but we will see! (nuff said)

18 Nov 2014 20:26:20
rvw you a class a tw. an abortion of a footballer, can't hit a barn door, now in france, a worse league than in england and still can't hit that door regularly, laughable!!! why on earth do you think you are so good?????? you blamed the rest of the team for you constant missgivings, JOKE!!!!!!!

14 Nov 2014 17:07:53
Why does Adams keep on dropping Redmond he is tearing the champions ship apart with his pace and skill

Cause he ain't got a clue what his best 11 is !!!

Cause he has not got clue full stop

roey 61

Tearing up the championship, haven't seen much of that so far, everytime he receives the ball he stops it, his shooting and crossing is poor, and when was the last time he scored, but then none of our midfield score enough goals, easier to blame the forwards. !!!

Best news i have heard for a long while - Mike Phelan on the city staff

Talk about a false dawn!! We are total crap again, now Adams is following the hopeless one in playing one upfront again, playing on the break, going one behind and not changing anything, Johnson was having a nightmare game but he stays on, everyone's reservations about Grabben is sadly true. Why are we so crap in the first half in every single game, if it's not sorted soon we are in trouble😱

Were having a blip I guarantee we'll be top of the league come Xmas.

If its a "blip" we need to stop giving the ball away so easily and start matches at the blow of the whistle, not wait till we are 1-0 down. i STILL say our defence is weak (johnson especially) and look shaky, also we need a playmaker. i see hoops is poss going out on loan, a couple of weeks ago i heard Celtic wanted him back on loan from January, also Sheff Weds asked about him as well. i also agree we seem to be going backwards with one striker, we are, oops, were the league leaders so its up to other teams to match our tactics, not us to match the oppositions, so grow a pair and go back to two up front please and PLEASE play a higher defence, i HATE allowing teams to come right at us. having said all that, i do believe with a couple more players in Jan we WILL go back up.
(nuff said)

Adams has morphed into the hopeless one!! What is this using right side centre halfs on the left, right backs in the centre, centre forward on the wing all about FFS, what is up with Miquel? We are too slow at the back, Whits can be a liability, I've never been a fan of Turner, Cafu is never a centre back and most of the team look as fit as I am! Whoever the fitness coach is Get rid, start with putting players in the right positions, and stop worrying about the flamin opposition 😡

We need. a winger that can score goals and a goal scoring midfielder both Redmond and hoolahan can't see to do it so get someone else that can mr adams

Is Lafferty convincing anyone? He is highly rated by his country, but then they don't have a large pool of players to choose from. I have never rated him myself, but players can change over time, especially when they are exposed to different cultures, like Lafferty has been.

so what is happening with the home form? Why is it so poor? Especially as the team are where they are, you would think the home form would be better. Can they still win promotion with such poor form at home? You would have to say no, but presently their position in the table says otherwise.
